Low Hall Lecterns

We recently had the pleasure of bringing stories to life through a series of interpretive lecterns for Low Hall, a key site within the Flashes of Wigan and Leigh National Nature Reserve (NNR). This project combined graphic design, environmental storytelling, and way-finding to showcase the area’s rich history, diverse wildlife, and unique landscapes.

Our creative process involved digging into archival photography and crafting a detailed trail map that ties everything together. The final designs now stand along three distinct routes: the main circular trail, the tree carving trail, and the rubbing post trail, helping visitors navigate while connecting them more deeply with the environment.

These signs do more than direct, they inspire. If you’re out exploring the trails, keep an eye out for our work and discover something new along the way.
